Brad Keselowski won the Dollar General 300 from Chicagoland Speedway and became the first driver to win a Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland from the front row. Keselowski started second, took the lead on the second lap, and went into full domination mode from there. Keselowski led 158 of 200 laps and won by eight and a half seconds over second place finisher Carl Edwards. Today marks his first Nationwide Series win since he broke his ankle in early August.
Keselowski got the lead on the second to last green flag pit stop when Edwards ran out of fuel. Edwards dropped from the lead to third, and Keselowski picked up a five and half second lead. From there Keselowski was basically able to cruise to the win.
Brian Scott won his first career Nationwide Series pole for today's race, and finished in third. He had a fast car all race long, but battled handling issues throughout. He even got into the wall on multiple occassions, but was able to hang on to tie his career best finish.
Today's race featured only three cautions for a total of 11 laps, and saw the last 130 laps go caution free.
