Brad Keselowski had a scary moment while testing at Road Atlanta on Wednesday, after hitting the wall head on after losing his brakes.
The track, not a NASCAR sanctioned track per testing rules, does not have SAFER barriers all around the track.
Keselowski, who has one Sprint Cup victory this season, tweeted "Looking at data with engineers in hospital bed. Was going 155, car slowed to approx 100 before hitting a non safer barrier wall head on." He also said "Looks like I'll be ok to race this weekend. Blue deuce, not so much. I'll keep u (sic) posted."
The 27 year old, who could earn a Chase spot with his victory in Kansas in June, also tweeted two photos of his reportedly broken ankle.
In a statement, Penske Racing said that Keselowski was airlifted to a local hospital as a precaution after he was able to exit his No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge.
Defending Sprint Cup Series champ Jimmie Johnson also posted this picture of Keselowski's wrecked racecar.
