It seems that Mother Nature does not like NASCAR and especially the Nationwide series. For the second race in a row they ended up running it on a different day then it was scheduled.

They were racing sunlight on Sunday with no lights at the track, so much so they did driver introductions on the pace laps. NASCAR told the drivers there would be a competition caution on lap 20 to allow teams to check tires.

Well caution flew before when Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. took out teammate Carl Edwards running in front of the field.

In all 13 cars were involved in the wreck, Mike Wallace, Steve Wallace, Michael Annett, Jason Leffler, Patrick Sheltra, James Buescher, Brendan Gaughan, Mike Green, Colin Braun and Clint Bowyer.

There was plenty of action on the track as drivers traded the lead and position all day long.

Some drivers who were showing some patience were Chrissy Wallace, Parker Klingerman and Steve Arpin and Brian Scott. All four were earning their rookie stripes but also ran smart races.

On the final round of green flag pit stops Kyle Busch suffered damage when he was trying to get on pit road and was run into from behind. The damage forced him back onto pit road under green, costing him a lap and a shot at the win.

With just four laps to go Arpin made contact with Braun setting off another chain reaction crash that set up the finish.

After coming to the white flag, Kevin Harvick who dominated the race, Clint Bowyer and Jamie McMurray were battling when Brad Keselowski had a run on the outside and took the lead.

McMurray cut down in a space that wasn’t there. He ended up spinning and causing a wreck in front of the entire field.

The field had already taken the white flag giving Keselowski the win, his first at Penske Racing. With his win he also took back the point lead.

The highest finishing rookie was Brian Scott, he takes over the Rookie of the Year standings.

The rest of the top 10 were Joey Logano, Harvick, Jason Keller, Johnny Borneman, Bowyer, Tony Raines, Paul Menard, Brian Vickers and Scott.

Next the series heads to Richmond International Raceway for a night race on Friday.
