The perfect place to go after racing at the largest track on the circuit is one of the smallest tracks the NASCAR Nationwide series races at. Richmond International Raceway on Friday night the series hits the track for an exciting race under the lights.

In my double duty driver spotlight I am going to pick Brad Keselowski. His dramatic win last weekend should not be so surprising. He has had strong, fast cars every week at the track.

He has something to prove this weekend as some fans question the validity of the win after he was penalized this week for illegal right and left front shocks.

At RIR his best two finishes cam last season, both were fourth place finishes. With the cars they are bringing to the track and the fact he has spent 94 percent of the laps run this season in the top 15, I expect he will be a contender this weekend.

Now for my Nationwide only driver I am picking Trevor Bayne. He has shown the ability the last couple weeks to adapt to the changing car and track conditions.

At RIR, Bayne has only one previous start at the track and that came in the fall race last season. He started and finished in the top 10. If you want a driver to watch this weekend Bayne would be a solid pick.

If he can avoid the trouble on track he could contend for the win. He has the equipment to do so it’s just a matter of putting it all together.

Mistakes on pit road can cost you at RIR. Drivers will have to be careful to watch their speeds especially because a pit road penalty under green can put you at least two laps down if not three.

This weekend weather will not be a factor for any of the on track activities. This is a good thing for the drivers, mean they can get in their rhythm early Friday.

Drivers like when things go as planned, the waiting around the last couple weekends can be your worst enemy.

The Bubba Burger 250 is Friday 7:30 ET on ESPN2.
