Well, it is that time of year again time to dust off the keyboard and put my thinking cap on as I’m about to show you all how smart I really am or not. Hereare my championship predictions for the top three series in NASCAR.  It’s time to get down to business.

Camping World Truck Series:

Timothy Peters. He’s coming off a 10th place finish in the CWTS and looking to improve on that this year.  Even though he was 10th last year, I picked him to win it all this year on the strength of his stats. Last year he had two wins, four finishes in the top 5 and 11 in the top 10. I fully expect him to win more races and have more top 5’s this year.  He drives the 17 for Red Horse Racing in 2014.

Nationwide Series:

Regan Smith.  His first full season in the number seven for JR Motorsports was a success and a disappointment as he finished third in the standings.A disappointment because he led the standings much of the season plus had two wins but things fell apart midway through the season. In 2014, he will put all that behind him and put together a championship season.

Sprint Cup:

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. His time at Hendrick Motorsports has been mostly uneven. He’s only won two races and has not really contended for a championship. Last year he and crew chief Steve LeTarte conquered his summer blues and he came close to winning on mutliple occasions. So why this season you ask? This is LeTarte  last year as a crew chief and he and Earnhardt want to go out on top. What better way to do that than deliver NASCAR’s most popular driver his first title.
